OK, now on to the puppies and the happenings here on the mountain. Things went well yesterday and Hope seemed much calmer. She is now becoming more comfortable leaving the kidz once they are well fed and quiet. Of course all that has to happen is one tiny squeak and she goes flying to see who needs her. She has been a wonderful mother and that sure makes things easier for the breeder.
Yesterday was all about our grandson Gavin. I babysit Gavin one or two times a week and yesterday he was here with us all day. Gavin absolutely loves these babies and is so very gentle with them. We will see once they have razor sharp teeth if he feels the same. Here he is holding one of them.
Gavin and Charlotte
Gavin loves them all but he most often chooses Eiven or Charlotte. The reason for that is because his favorite color has always been orange and they both have on orange collars. I do not let him stay in the puppy box for long periods of time so that Hope can get some rest without being disturbed, though she seems to enjoy sharing the babies with Gavin. At one point yesterday Gavin asked if he could go in the pen and said to me, "Grammy I need a little Eiven time". I am trying not to fall in love with Eiven but he is so adorable with that sweet brown nose and at this point is the calmest of the eleven. He will lie quietly in your hands during the stimulation session. A therapy dog in the making perhaps.
As I'm sure you can see, they are all plumping up quite nicely. I even had to change the collar on Sparrow yesterday. Sparrow is the tiniest of them and her big brothers Otto and Atz Lee are the largest.
For anyone that may wonder, here is the pedigree for this litter. Note that the ones in red are champions.
I actually said to Barb that I like Eiven 😄 And I like Charlotte too. And Bonnie and Eve and... Well. You get he picture. LOL
