We had a good first day and a good night last night. Everyone is settling into a new routine. Hope is a wonderful and very attentive mother. One thing I find amazing is how well she accepts having people around the babies and handling them. Our grandsons were here yesterday to welcome the babies and Hope seemed proud to show them off. Gavin at age five is going to be a wonderful puppy socializer. He has chosen one that he particularly likes at this moment and he gently held her for a long time and even shared his favorite security froggie with her. I'm sure his favorite puppy will change over time. He is just amazed at how little and sweet they are. His eight year old brother Dalton thought they looked like white rats.

Today is one that I never look forward to. It will be the puppies first vet visit. They will have their dew claws removed today. It is something best done while they are very young as it is less traumatic at this time. The puppies will be fussy this evening and Hope will worry over them. Everyone at my vets office is looking forward to seeing them.
