The puppies had a big adventure yesterday with their first vet visit. Because my vets office is a forty-five minute drive, I decided to take Hope along so she could feed them on the drive home. I loaded the babies in their warming box with a warmed jell pack for the ride out and Hope rode in a crate. Everyone was peaceful and quiet. My granddaughter went along in case I needed assistance.
The office staff all came to take a peek in the box and admire the babies and then they were taken back to have their dew claws removed. They were pronounced healthy and VERY strong. Hope too got a thorough exam and the vet said she is in wonderful condition.
I had my granddaughter take Hope to the car and get it started and warmed up because I wanted to put the pups with her for the ride home. That worked out great; Hope and the babies rode peacefully home. Normally on dew claw day the puppies are fussy and the mother stressed but that was not the case this time. Things went so well that I decided it was safe for me to sleep in my own bed last night. Boy did that feel good.
Today we will begin the Early Canine Neurological Stimulation. I will share with you about that in tomorrows post.
