Day 13--Big change yesterday. I observed several puppies up on all four legs toddling around the pen. They still can't see so they are pretty funny as they scurry around trying to find Mommy or at least someone they can pile on. Our pictures today feature Findlay, Jewel, Charlotte and Nikos.

The first is Findlay (black boy).
And here is one of Gavin's favorites, Jewel (black girl)
Charlotte (black girl) did not want to cooperate so needed a bit of assistance.
This sweet guy is Nikos (liver boy)
Holly had noticed when they were here over the weekend that toe nails were growing very fast. Normally they need done once a week and Thursday would be a week. Anyway, she and the boys came yesterday evening and she got nails trimmed again. I'm sure Hope was grateful as her tummy was looking a little red and sore from all of those sharp nails.

I weighed a few of the puppies yesterday. It is obvious that they are all thriving so I don't feel the need to weigh everyone. The largest weigh two pounds now and are both boys and the smallest are girls and weigh in at a pound and a half.

Gavin was very happy to come visit the puppies again. He couldn't wait until Eiven's nails were done so he could sit and hold him. He also brought along his little friend Octo to share with the puppies. He set this picture up with Findlay and got my little camera and took this photo. Not sure why the puppy looks yellow except for the camera settings on this little point and shoot. Gavin looked up at me then and said, "Grammy, I just really enjoy these puppies".

A bit of warning to the folks on the list to get a puppy from this litter. As these puppies start to grow and get into all of their puppy cuteness---- do not fall in love with a puppy from a picture. I work real hard to match puppies with their forever families and decisions where each puppy goes ultimately rests on my shoulders. I have never had a family disappointed with their choice. :)

  2. These little ones are so stinking cute and you know I am NOT a dog lover so that is saying a lot. :-) Interesting that Gavin and I both like Eiven.
