It was a busy day here yesterday and I didn't get a chance for puppy pictures. I decided this would be a good day to feature Mama Hope and her story. Nearly three years ago I learned that a fellow breeder/friend Chris Aranowski, was planning a litter. I happened to really like both parents and I started to consider adding a puppy to our family. I contacted her and jokingly laid out all that I wanted in a puppy, knowing that what I wanted would be a hard order to fill. The puppies arrived and lo and behold this one little girl fit my requirements perfectly. That little girl became our Hope. She has been all we "hoped" for and more.
She is sweet, funny and very affectionate. As her breeder Chris says, she is the queen of kisses.
One of her favorite spots to rest is on the back of our couch and she loves the sunshine.
She is a bit of a squirrel kamikaze and spends long periods watching out the windows and doors for any creature that dare move on the property. An excellent guard dog for sure.
Hope is the one dog in our house that prefers the outdoors to the indoors. Rain, sun or snow, she loves being outside. Here she is romping through deep snow.
Hope has been a treasure and our desire is that she will share all of that with her babies. Oh, speaking of babies; they are doing wonderfully well and growing right before our eyes. We were pleased to have our friend, and the person most responsible for me getting into Dalmatians many years ago, come for a visit yesterday. Barb Allison was my mentor in dog showing and also through my early years of breeding. Barb has been showing and breeding for many years and is well respected in the Dalmatian community. She thinks this is a very pretty litter and was surprised that they are even cuter in person than in the photos. We got them out of the puppy pen to let them move about in the kitchen some but then Hope decided she should feed them. This is the only picture I took all day yesterday.

They are beautiful and Hope is such a wonderful Mom. She is raising 11 puppies and she is still in excellent condition. A true testament to the excellent care and nutrition she has received. It is wonderful to see such a healthy robust litter! I can't wait to go back and see them again.
