Day 15--Oh my, the days are going fast. I wonder if it will still feel that way when these guys are all up on their feet and creating havoc. At this point unless they are hungry, they are asleep. Once eyes are open they will start to interact with each other. I did notice a few more eyes starting to separate at the inside corner. It won't be long now. Once they are open we will be checking to see if they are all brown eyed or if there are any blue eyes in the bunch. You may be able to see here that the corner of Rose's eye is beginning to open. You may also notice that her mouth is open a bit too. She was complaining about having her picture taken.
Atz Lee on the other hand is just sniffing out these new surroundings.
Bonnie doesn't seem to mind having her photo done either. By the time they leave here these puppies will be quite used to a camera. It is always a challenge to get photos of dogs before they learn sit/stay but it helps if they are not afraid of a camera and flash.
The puppies seem to all be eliminating on their own now and in much larger volume. That means frequent bed changes. One of the first steps to good housebreaking is having them used to sleeping in a clean environment. I change bedding several times a day now. I hope my washing machine will hold up with all of this laundry.

I move all of the puppies to a soft crate next to the puppy pen while I put down clean bedding. Hope decided she wanted in with them last night. Findlay decided he wasn't that hungry.
