Day 29--Four weeks old--So Busy
Each day the Kidz become more and more busy as they explore their world. I try to add interesting things to the play yard and things that might be a little scary. Yesterday this singing, dancing Elmo joined the area. I wish I had thought to do a video of their reaction. I thought Elmo might be scary for them but they all came running and within seconds had Elmo on the ground mauling him.

This wobble disk was also a big hit as they played King of the mountain. Their ability to balance so well at just four weeks old is pretty amazing.
Jewel takes a turn through the activity center.
I was getting ready to throw away this clear zipper bag yesterday and I got the idea to add some plastic bottles left from our Memorial Day picnic. These little enrichment seekers came to investigate right away.
Bonnie was the first one brave enough to walk across but the others joined in later.
Eiven discovers a cute puppy in the mirror.
You never know what you might find when you look in the pen. I thought this was a funny sleeping configuration.
Hope continues to feed the troupes a couple of times a day but she does it her own way.
Several more of the puppies spent some time in the pen on the deck outside. It is all so new for them that it takes a minute for them to settle down out there.

As we move into week four, the Puppy Culture program has several protocol that we are to work on. Some of the things they are already doing but we will be adding clicker training. This week they will each get a turn learning that hearing the clicker means a treat is coming. We will also work on some problem solving and learning to navigate barriers. Some are already good at that.

One other important thing each day is cuddling each puppy, handling little feet and rubbing ears so they are used to be handled all over. Is there time for anything else in my day? Yes, lots of laundry.
